Highlights of ISE 2018

EZCast Pro attended ISE 2018 in the Netherlands, from February 6-9 to launch the next generation of wireless conference room solutions, QuattroPod.

This year’s ISE was the largest in its 15-year history, with 1,296 exhibitors in total, and 80,923 visitors from around the world.

Here are some of the innovations that caught our attention.

Transparent OLED signage from LG

As a powerhouse in the display industry, LG is used to dazzling us with new and exciting visual technologies.

This year at ISE 2018 was no different and LG demonstrated their latest transparent OLED display.

This technology creates an illusion of visual display in thin air, ideal for retail, art galleries and museums, where organisations can place products that complement the video or special effects played on the display.

Panasonic’s LinkRay embedded retail solution

One of the most exciting way to integrate digital media content with the real world was on display at Panasonic, their LinkRay embedded retail displays.

By combining the LinkRay technology with a Panasonic large screen allows shoppers to pick up any product on the shelf and see the matching product information on the display.

This creates an interactive and immersive shopping experience in retail applications.

QuattroPod, the click and cast conference room solution

Created targeted advertising in real life with Samsung

Can you imagine a world where every billboard around you only display ads that are relevant to you?

This scenario is becoming a reality with Samsung’s latest target ad signage solutions.

Create personalised real world ads based on demographic information.

Just walk down the travellator and a camera would take photos of you and choose a relevant advertising campaign to display on the large screen billboard.

This solution may help advertisers around the world to display more targeted content to improve advertisement engagement.

Create multilingual museum applications with Sony’s Sonic Surf VR solution

Imagine guided tours around museums and galleries that speak your language.

This is what you can create with Sony’s Sonic Surf VR spatial audio technology.

Sony’s Sonic Surf VR creates personalised audio visual experiences.

By using directional audio technologies from Sony, you can create different sweet spots in front of exhibitions that can hear different audio channels.

So you can build customised audio guides targeting different language speakers at world class museums.
